Glan Clwyd Hospital: Maternity ward calls stepped up

A patients' body has been meeting north Wales health officials as calls grow for a rethink to changes to maternity services in the region.

Hundreds of people turned out at the weekend to protests at plans to remove consultant care for Glan Clwyd Hospital in Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire.

Instead, at-risk mothers would be forced to travel to either Bangor or Wrexham.

The community health council is holding talks with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board on Monday, as Matthew Richards reports.
