Gwent Police let Carl Mills' fire victims down, says watchdog
Police and social services have been severely criticised in damning reports into a man who killed three generations of the sam family, including his own baby.
Kim Buckley, 46, her daughter Kayleigh, 17, and six-month-old granddaughter Kimberley were murdered in a house fire in Cwmbran in September 2012.
Kayleigh's boyfriend Carl Mills, 28, was jailed for 35 years.
Police checks, which might have prevented the murders, failed to highlight his violent record.
Independent Police Complaints Commissioner for Wales Jan Williams said the family was badly let down.
