'People will come' to £325m Circuit of Wales

The man behind plans for the motor racing Circuit of Wales in Blaenau Gwent says he already has £120 million conditionally committed to the project.

Two thirds of the private money needed is committed, mainly from Asian and American financial institutions.

It is conditional on the circuit in Ebbw Vale passing outstanding planning hurdles.

Michael Carrick told BBC Wales economics correspondent Sarah Dickins that he was confident Ebbw Vale was well placed to attract motor technology industries to a hub - as well as motor sport fans from far and wide.
