Charlotte Church: UK 'condemned itself' to Tory rule

Singer Charlotte Church has told a rally in Cardiff she felt "sick and gutted" when she learned the general election result.

The mother-of-two addressed around 200 anti-austerity campaigners on Queen Street on Saturday, carrying a placard which read she was "mad as hell".

Her appearance came in the wake of her attack on the Conservative Party on Twitter, after it secured a slim majority.

She said the reins of power had been "handed over to the bogey men".
