A swimming spot in a north Wales village where two men died has been described as "very dangerous".

North Wales Police said four men were swimming in Llanberis, Gwynedd, when they got into difficulty.

Emergency services were called to the area, close to the Snowdon Mountain Railway line, at 08:30 BST on Sunday.

A 33-year-old and a 21-year-old have died. Two others, aged 27 and 25, were treated in hospital before being released.

BBC Wales' George Herd spoke to resident Janice Hughes and Aneurin Jones, who runs a nearby hotel.
