Tawel Fan: 'Scandal and a stain on the NHS' - report author

The author of a damning report which found "institutional abuse" at a mental health ward in Denbighshire said families of patients want action on their behalf.

Donna Ockenden said the incident at Glan Clwyd Hospital's Tawel Fan was a "stain on the NHS in Wales".

Betsi Cadwaladr health board has apologised.

There have been calls for it to be put into special measures, which could mean the Welsh government or another body taking over some or all of the board's functions.
