M4 relief road must not lose momentum, says CBI Wales

The organisation representing Wales' biggest employers has said it needs reassurance the M4 relief road project will not suffer a "loss of momentum" now the minister in charge is stepping down.

Edwina Hart approved Welsh government plans for the £1bn project for a new motorway south of Newport in July 2014.

But on Friday she announced she would not seek re-election at next year's assembly elections.

Chairman of CBI Wales, Chris Sutton, said the project was essential for the long-term infrastructure of south Wales.
