New BBC agreement a good deal, says Rhodri Talfan Davies

BBC Wales director Rhodri Talfan Davies has said the new BBC agreement to cover the cost of providing free television licences for over-75s is a "good deal".

Ministers announced on Monday the move would be phased in from 2018/19.

In return, rules on paying for catch-up services such as iPlayer might be introduced and the licence fee will rise with inflation.

Mr Davies told Good Morning Wales there had been "a number of significant wins" and also discussed the impact on S4C, which is part-funded by the BBC.
