George Cross heroine Violette Szabo 'did it for her family'
The daughter of a World War Two resistance heroine has spoken of her decision to sell her mother's posthumous George Cross.
Violette Szabo was one of four women awarded the medal - the highest honour for bravery given to civilian or military personnel in non-combat roles.
Tania Szabo, of Builth Wells, Powys, described her mother's work for the British Special Operations Executive in France and her memories of being presented with the George Cross by King George VI after her mother's execution by the Gestapo in 1945.
She hopes the medal will be bought "for the nation" at an auction on Wednesday.
Ms Szabo spoke to BBC Wales' Ben Price.
