VJ Day: Veterans meet around Wales to mark the 70th anniversary

Veterans have met around Wales to mark the 70th anniversary of VJ Day, when Japan surrendered and World War Two ended.

Over 200 people gathered in Llandudno, Conwy, to remember those who fell.

Peter Kingston, of the Royal British Legion, said: "I think it's important to keep the memories alive of those who sacrificed themselves."

Soldiers who served in Burma have been meeting in a Cardiff church every year since 1951. But with only a handful of members left, all in their 90s, they have decided this year will be their last.

Raymond Clemo was the only member of the Burma Star Association able to attend.

Tomos Dafydd spoke to Peter Kingston, Bombadier Raymond Clemo and Canon Dr Sarah Rowland Jones.
