Tesco attack victim: 'Attacker was coward who tried to behead me'
A man who hacked a Tesco shopper with a machete in a revenge attack for the murder of Fusilier Lee Rigby has been jailed for life, with a minimum term of 14 years.
Zack Davies, 26, targeted Dr Sarandev Bhambra, a 25-year-old dentist from Leeds, West Yorkshire, at a store in Mold, Flintshire, in a racially motivated assault.
Davies, of Mold, was convicted of attempted murder in June and sentenced at Mold Crown Court on Friday.
Speaking after the hearing, Dr Bhambra said the "barbaric incident" had been "traumatic and stressful" before adding: "Why was he not considered a terrorist considering his political ideals?"
