Wales cancer patients draw up care ideas in online project

Better communication from the NHS and easier access to treatment are a bigger priority for cancer patients than access to new drugs, a survey found.

Cancer patients took part in the "Let's talk cancer", external online project and tabled 100 ideas to improve care in Wales.

An expert panel shortlisted the proposals, like making patients' records more readily available to all care practitioners.

Their recommendations were discussed by assembly members on Thursday.
