£20m M4 cash is 'money well spent', says Edwina Hart

The £20m the Welsh government will fork out on preparing for the planned M4 relief road this year is "money well spent," according to the economy minister.

Building work on the £1bn project around Newport is due to begin in Spring 2018.

Labour AM for Cardiff Central, Jenny Rathbone, said she was "appalled and astonished" by it.

But Edwina Hart said it would be "very wrong" if the Welsh government did not invest properly in plans to show the public.
