Pembrokeshire air rescue of fisherman captured on video

Footage showing the dramatic helicopter rescue of a fisherman who fell ill on a boat off the Pembrokeshire coast has been released.

Milford Haven Coastguard said it received an emergency call from the vessel, which was west of St Anne's Head, on Friday afternoon.

The Angle lifeboat and a rescue vessel were sent, along with the coastguard rescue helicopter from St Athan, Vale of Glamorgan.

The fisherman was winched aboard the helicopter and flown to Swansea's Morriston Hospital, with his condition yet to be confirmed.

A YouTube video published by the RNLI shows the rescue operation, 12.9km (8m) off the coast.
