Bottle and can 10p deposit 'changes litter mentality'

A 10p deposit on bottles, cans and cartons will change people's mentality on litter, environmental campaigners have said.

Friends of the Earth Cymru wants the Welsh government to introduce the scheme to cut down on littering.

Opponents said it would not work in the UK and consumers would end up paying more.

Gareth Clubb from Friends of the Earth said the idea had many advantages.
