Welsh Whisky boss says better roads vital

The boss of Welsh Whisky and Penderyn Distillery has backed a call by CBI Wales' for better transport links to be a priority.

The industry body called on the next Welsh government to set a timetable for the M4 relief road and put an independent body in charge of big infrastructure projects.

It also wants the number of councils cut from 22 to no more than eight.

Its manifesto also calls for three development corporations for Wales.

CBI Wales' A Plan For Prosperity has been published ahead of next May's assembly election.

Stephen Davies, managing director of Welsh Whisky and the Penderyn Distillery near the Brecon Beacons told BBC Wales' business correspondent Brian Meechan better infrastructure was vital as they expanded.
