Skateboarding images taken by Skin Phillips to save park

Skateboarding images taken by a Swansea-born photographer are being auctioned to save a venue in his home city.

Skin Phillips, who also manages a professional team in San Diego, is trying to help keep the Exist skate park in Mount Pleasant open.

The facility charges £3 entry and needs to attract 30 people every day to keep its doors open.

Mr Phillips said people need to realise that skateboarding "keeps kids off the streets" and the hobby "is not going away".

Some of his photographs are expected to fetch hundreds of pounds, with 60 up for sale in the Volcano Theatre fundraiser.

Iwan Griffiths reports.
