OECD report: NHS comparisons 'very difficult'

The NHS in Wales appears to be performing no better or worse than the rest of the UK, a major international review has found.

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) looked into UK health service quality.

The report found it was "fairly mediocre" across the UK and the reasons for this were "puzzling".

Mark Pearson, head of the OECD's health division, told BBC Wales, that devolution was not the problem but there were lessons which the health services in the four UK nations could learn from each other.
