Welsh assembly election is 'stepping stone' for UKIP

UKIP Wales leader Nathan Gill said a good result in the Welsh assembly elections in May would be two seats in all five electoral areas, giving the party 10 seats in the Senedd.

"We know we're not going to be electing a UKIP first minister, but there has to be growth and stepping stones in every single election," he said.

ITV and Cardiff University research earlier this month indicated nine UKIP AMs could be elected.
