'You should be able to vote at 16', says first minister

Sixteen-year-olds should be allowed to vote, First Minister Carwyn Jones has said.

"If you can get a job, if you can pay taxes, if you can join the armed forces, then why not be able to vote", he told pupils from Ysgol Gyfun Cymer Rhondda, near Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taff.

Voters aged 16 and 17 took part in 2014's referendum on Scottish independence.
