Cardiff Airport's growth plans 'overly optimistic'

Cardiff Airport is missing its passenger targets and lacks a long-term plan to expand, a committee of AMs has said.

One million people used it during 2014/15, with that number set to increase to 1.4m by 2018.

After the airport was bought by the Welsh Government for £52m in 2013, its target was to get two million people through the doors annually by that date.

The Public Accounts Committee described this target as "overly optimistic".
