Paraglider rescued by Aberystwyth RNLI after cliff smash

A paraglider has been plucked from the sea off Ceredigion by RNLI rescuers after smashing into cliffs.

Crews in two boats from Aberystwyth sped to the incident late on Sunday afternoon between Clarach and Constitution Hill.

One boat, the inshore RNLI Arancia, helped free the casualty from his canopy and the paraglider was pulled onto a larger Atlantic-class boat.

After medical assessments, the man was reunited with a friend on the shore.
