Hay 'knows how to throw a party,' says festival director

The 2016 Hay Festival gets under way in Powys on Thursday, drawing in writers, filmmakers, comedians, politicians and musicians from all over the world.

Among the big names due to appear at this year's 29th festival is Sir Tom Jones who will discuss his autobiography, Over The Top And Back.

Festival director Peter Florence tells BBC arts correspondent Huw Thomas why he thinks Hay-on-Wye is a special place.
