Cardiff University: Super close-ups inside the human brain

The Queen will open Cardiff University's new £44m Brain Research Imaging Centre (Cubric) later.

It has been called the "most significant advance in brain imaging in Europe in the last 10 years".

These are the sorts of detailed images of the brain the new scanners can produce.

Dr John Evans, MRI research fellow at Cubric shows Owain Clarke what they can now see.
