Simon Weston: War graves bring veterans 'back to life'

A campaign has been launched to encourage people to visit the UK's 300,000 war graves and memorials for veterans of World War One and World War Two.

Falklands veteran Simon Weston backed the Commonwealth War Graves Commission campaign.

Mr Weston, who was awarded a CBE in March, visited war graves at Cardiff's Cathays Cemetery.

He told BBC Radio Wales' Collette Hume he "did not realise" everyone in Britain lives within three miles (4.8km) of a war grave.
