Conwy's four-weekly bin collections: For and against

A year-long trial of four-weekly bin collections gets underway in Conwy county in a bid to increase recycling rates - but the move is not without controversy.

More than 10,000 people in the authority who have bins collected on a Monday will take part in the trial, while the council brings in three-weekly bin collections for the rest of the county.

One assembly member fears it will lead to fly-tipping and pest problems.

But the council said the move will help boost recycling across the trial area.
