Soldier remembers fallen at Cardiff Garden of Remembrance

A Rhyl soldier hit by a roadside bomb while serving in Afghanistan became emotional as he planted a cross in memory of fallen comrades.

Stewart Harris of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards was left with brain damage, partial blindness and deafness after his vehicle was hit by a bomb in 2012.

The 32-year-old planted a cross during a service at the Garden of Remembrance at Cardiff Castle on Wednesday.

He said: "I won't be the only man crying this weekend."
