Rare sea turtle washed up on Anglesey 'lucky to be alive'
A rare tropical turtle remains in a serious condition and is "lucky to be alive" after being washed on to an Anglesey beach.
The animal could be an Olive ridley turtle - the first ever to be seen in the UK.
It was discovered at Tan-y-Foel on Saturday close to Anglesey Sea Zoo and staff took it to a vet.
The turtle, believed to be female, has been nicknamed Menai and is undergoing rehabilitation.
