Pisa: Ferndale head urges 'no knee jerk reaction' to results

The head teacher of an improving secondary school in the Rhondda, which took part in the Pisa tests, hopes there is no knee jerk reaction to the latest Wales results.

Heather Nicholas, head of Ferndale Community School, believes changes made a few years ago will take time to have an effect and says they are seeing the impact.

She told BBC Wales education correspondent Colette Hume education was also more than just tests but making it enjoyable and aspirational.
