Hybrid train 'brings flexibility' - Alun Cairns

The economy secretary has urged the UK Government to deliver electric trains between Cardiff and Swansea.

Ken Skates said unless a commitment was honoured now "we may never see it".

Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns said the most modern hybrid Great Western trains would run to Swansea later this year, switching to diesel from Swindon.
