Coronavirus: Sports stars send support to Cardiff fan

A group of sportsmen have sent video messages of support to a football fan who has been in intensive care for two weeks after contracting coronavirus.

Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge, former Cardiff player Derek Brazil and UFC fighter Brett Johns have all recorded messages for 49-year-old Jason James from Rhondda Cynon Taff.

The Bluebirds fan, who is said to be fit and healthy, has been receiving treatment at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantristant.

His wife Hayley said he would be "over the moon and in such shock when he wakes up with all these messages”.
