Renewable energy: Gwent Levels face 'mass extinction'
A unique landscape that is home to hundreds of endangered species is in danger of being overwhelmed by energy developments, campaigners say.
Friends of the Gwent Levels said the area should be off-limits due to their importance for rare wildlife.
Welsh ministers are considering whether to allow a "renewable energy hub" featuring 250,000 solar panels to be built there.
Developers said the scheme could supply clean power to 40,000 homes.
