Duchess of Cambridge calls Newport mother and daughter

A picture of a young girl giving her paramedic dad a hug as he headed out to work in Newport ended with a call from the Duchess of Cambridge.

Catherine called Ceri Edwards to thank her for the image, which is a finalist in the duchess' Hold Still competition documenting life during the pandemic.

The duchess also spoke to the girl at the centre of the image - Poppy.
