NHS: Help out by eating better and smoking less, says Eluned Morgan

People should stop smoking, be careful what they eat and exercise more to help the NHS, Wales' health minister has said.

"I think we do need to have an honest conversation with the public about what more they can do to help the NHS, Eluned Morgan said.

She said the NHS was spending a lot of money on preventable diseases such as type 2 diabetes which is closely linked with obesity.

It was therefore key, she said, that people took responsibility for their own health.
