Red kites: Watch as red kites swarm garden for leftovers
Ever since a retired butcher decided to leave out his leftovers, once-endangered red kites have become a common sight in his garden.
Brian George, 84, from Talgarth, Powys, said he first thought the red kites he saw near his home would enjoy the leftover turkey carcass from Christmas.
"Sure enough, they seemed to like it... I've been throwing scraps out ever since," said Mr George.
The birds can grow to have wingspan of up to 2m (6ft 7in) and were previously close to extinction in Wales, with just two breeding pairs remaining.
Thanks to breeding programmes there are now about 1,800 pairs thriving across the UK.
