Pen y Fan: 'Phenomenal' skiing conditions on rare slope

More than 30 skiers and snowboarders descended the highest peak in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park on Sunday after heavy snow.

One skier who had been to the Alps this winter said the "phenomenal" conditions on Pen y Fan were the best he had skied on all season.

"Probably a foot or more that came down and that had blown and filled areas where we like to ski," Christian Morris said.

Earlier this year, he managed to ski on Foel Eryr in the Preseli Hills Pembrokeshire - a place which rarely sees long-lasting snow.
