Autumn Statement cash will not 'redress damage' of cuts

The Welsh government will get an additional £123m to spend next year as a result of the Autumn Statement.

The news came as Chancellor George Osborne revealed his tax and spending plans.

Around £70m of the extra cash will be spent on the health service in Wales, and comes as a result of extra spending on the NHS in England.

Finance Minister Jane Hutt said the money would go only "a small way" towards redressing the damage caused by deep cuts in public service spending by the UK government.
