Wales NHS falling behind, says David Cameron

Prime Minister David Cameron has told BBC Wales he believes the Welsh NHS is falling behind the service in England when it comes to patient waiting times and waiting lists.

In an extended interview with Radio Wales' Oliver Hides, he said people had been "dying on waiting lists" due to Welsh Labour ministers' decisions.

He defended comments made at the Welsh Conservative conference last year describing Offa's Dyke as a line between life and death due to NHS funding cuts in Wales.

However he also said he had a good working relationship with Wales' First Minister Carwyn Jones.

He told the presenter he hoped voters in Wales would focus on the long-term economic plan when they go to the polls in this year's general election.
