Carwyn Jones call to 'create new, hopeful, Labour Britain'

Voters have a clear choice between "hope and despair" at the general election, First Minister Carwyn Jones has told the Welsh Labour conference in Swansea.

He outlined the Welsh government's record on jobs, health and house building as proof of what a Labour UK government could achieve.

Mr Jones accused David Cameron's Conservatives of being even more extreme than Margaret Thatcher in seeking to cut public services "with zeal".

He said only Labour could stop them.
