'Raise the bar' on teacher training in Wales, minister says

Teacher training must improve to attract the best students and make the most of them, the education minister has said.

Huw Lewis was responding to a report by Prof John Furlong who said the quality of teacher training in Wales had "deteriorated" since he last looked at it nearly 10 years ago.

Mr Lewis said he accepted the need for reform.
