Labour's Rhodri Morgan rejects Jeremy Corbyn as hard left

Jeremy Corbyn's "hard left" campaign for the Labour leadership has been dismissed by Rhodri Morgan, the former first minister.

Mr Morgan, who once said he wanted to create "clear red water" between his policies in Wales and those of the former prime minister Tony Blair, said his own stance had been "classic Labour".

Mr Morgan told BBC Radio Wales Yvette Cooper was his preferred choice for Labour leader, as someone who could find "the space between Corbynism and Blairism".

Andy Burnham and Liz Kendall are the other contenders.
