Rhodri Morgan 'a lovely, warm guy', says Jeremy Corbyn
Former Welsh first minister Rhodri Morgan has died, aged 77.
He was elected as a Labour MP in 1987 and became a member of the Welsh assembly when it was created in 1999.
Mr Morgan took the helm of the assembly in February 2000 and was widely credited with having brought stability to the fledgling institution during his nine years in charge.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn took time out from general election campaigning to pay tribute to a "lovely, warm guy" who had brought "reality" to devolution.
