Brexit: Transition about avoiding a cliff edge, Cairns says

Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns says a proposed transition period for the UK after it leaves the EU is to avoid a "cliff edge" for the economy.

Prime Minister Theresa May made the proposal in a speech in Italy on Friday.
