No specific accusation of bullying, Carwyn Jones says

First Minister Carwyn Jones has said he heard "no specific accusation of bullying" within the Welsh Government in 2014.

Assembly members will debate and vote next Wednesday on whether Mr Jones should face an inquiry into whether he was aware of allegations that certain ministers had been undermined by senior advisers.

The claims have been made by former minister Leighton Andrews and Steve Jones, a former media adviser to the first minister.

They claimed Carl Sargeant, the ex-minister found dead two weeks ago after being sacked, had been one of those targeted.

Opposition parties have accused the first minister of misleading the Senedd - by telling AMs last week that there had been "issues" after denying in 2014 that there had been any allegations.

Pressed by Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood at First Minister's Questions on Tuesday, Mr Jones said he welcomed scrutiny, but denied any discrepancy between the statements.
