Adoptive family's first Christmas

A woman who adopted siblings has described spending her first Christmas with them a month after a national adoption service for Wales was launched.

The service hopes to improve adoption rates, particularly for older children.

Noelle, a single parent, adopted a four-year-old girl and her two-year-old brother, and said it had been an ambition since childhood after seeing news reports of orphans abroad.

She told BBC Wales' Mark Hutchings people needed to be a "little bit more realistic" in their expectations about adoption, particularly in relation to the age of the children available.
