Church services cancelled in Iraq due to threats

Many church services in Iraq have been cancelled, amid fears for the safety of Christians over the Christmas period.

Church leaders have urged worshippers to keep celebrations to a minimum, after a group affiliated to Al-Qaeda threatened fresh attacks.

In October, more than 40 worshippers were killed in the Syrian-Catholic Cathedral in Baghdad.

Now, Iraq's already dwindling Christian community is facing a fresh exodus - as Gabriel Gatehouse reports.
