King Abdullah 'disturbed' by events in Syria

Jordan's King Abdullah has told the BBC that the situation in Syria is potentially a major problem causing frustration and concern throughout the region.

Speaking to Lyse Doucet he added that, like many, he was disturbed by events in the country.

The King encouraged Syria's President Bashir Assad to reach out to the Syrian people, step down and ensure elections are held.
