Tahrir Square: Protesters 'defy crackdown'
At least 11 people have been killed during demonstrations in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
Protesters in Tahrir Square clashed with soldiers and the police, who used rubber bullets and batons.
The demonstrators are demanding that the head of the governing military council resign, amid mounting concern that the armed forces do not want to relinquish power.
BBC World spoke to one witness in the square who did not want to give his real name.
