Car ploughs through restaurant in San Diego

Diners in San Diego had a lucky escape after a car ploughed right through the middle of a busy restaurant.

CCTV cameras caught the moment the silver car mounted the kerb, and drove straight through the glass doors, sending one man who was leaving over the bonnet.

But he and two others who were hit escaped with only minor injuries.

It is thought the driver mistook the accelerator for the brake.
