'A city man can't understand our life'
Hunting live animals with dogs is banned in several European countries, including the UK, but in France, the tradition is alive and well. Some 400 hunts face little or no challenge now from politicians or animal rights activists - but French society is slowly changing.
BBC News spent the day with a hunt in the Foret D'Eu in the Somme region.
Hunt Master Mathieu Berge explains that while he accepts hunting is "cruel", he believes it is a part of country life that "a city man will never understand".
